Sun, Sand, Family and Lots of Fun!!!

I realized that I never blogged about our trip to Bethany, which was the highlight of our summer! It was the first time in three years that we were able to go to the beach, and we love to be at the beach :) We went to Bethany this year and had a blast...we always do when we all get together! We were missing some of the crew this year, but hopefully we can all be together next year for Nancy and Justin's wedding. There are a lot of pics here, but I couldn't leave anyone out and just couldn't choose between some of them! Enjoy :)

Sam was pretty much terrified of the water until the night before we left...it made the trip a little more relaxing ;) but I hope he gets to enjoy the water more next year!

Sheridan would ask Hannah to build a sandcastle with her, but it was really just so she could smash it :)

The last two days we were there overlapped with Madeline & Andy's vacation so the kids got to play together on the beach :)

To infinity and beyond!

We went to the Air and Space Museum in Dulles today...the kids loved it. We have gone a few times before but as they get older they get more into it. I can't believe the summer is coming to an end, but it has been great!

This one may make the xmas card this year :)

Sheridan's 1st Big Girl Haircut!

Sheridan went to get her first big girl haircut tonight! Our sweet girl looks beatiful and so grown up :)

Fireworks!

We had a quiet dinner just the four of us and then went across town to watch the fireworks...it was perfect!

Blueberries!

We enjoyed picking blueberries last year so we thought we would do it a few times this year! We also tried out a few more recipes...we always make blueberry betty, but this year we also made some delicious muffins and blueberry jam :)

Sheridan Blinn's Silent Auction Fundraiser

This is Sheridan's friend Joey (our families are long time friends). He was diagnosed with Leukemia before Sheridan and was a great friend to her when she got sick. He came out of remission last year and is fighting a tough battle right now.

Our Light the Night Walk team A Spoonful of Sugar is excited to be hosting our 2nd annual silent auction fundraiser. It is coming up this Tuesday, June 21st at 6:00 pm at The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. Proceeds from the door will be donated to Joey's family and proceeds from the auction items will be donated to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
