Dolphins, stingrays, Shamu and ofcourse some Dr. Seuss!!!

On Sunday we headed off to Seaworld.  We began our day with the dolphins.  It was pretty amazing to be so close, feeding them and petting them.

After seeing some of the animals we were ready for lunch...while we waited in line the kids sat on this rock and I ofcourse snapped pics of them non-stop...

 They were reading their map by the way...something they were obsessed with in every park...everyday! 

After lunch it was time for the main attraction...SHAMU and the orcas!  This was one of Sam's favorite parts of the trip.  When we arrived at the village (Give Kids the World) Polly gave him a Shamu stuffed animal, so seeing Shamu live was huge!!!  On the last day, before we left, he went up to the desk at the village all on his own and asked to talk to Polly.  He remembered that she had given him the Shamu and wanted to tell her about seeing the real Shamu and thank her for the one he got to keep...pretty awesome for a 3 year old!

The sea lion exhibit was the last major exhibit we saw before we left the park.  It was incredible!  Sam just sat down on the ground by the glass window to watch for a while.  We got so lucky because the baby you see in the pics is just 2 days old!!! 

When we were finished at Sea World we headed over to Islands of Adventure which is part of Universal Studios.  We went in to the park just to go to Seuss Landing and it did not disappoint!  The kids had a blast, it was beautiful as the sun was setting on the day and we got to see the park all lit up before we headed home for the night.  Seuss Landing is everything Dr. Seuss...everything!  Every single detail makes you feel like you have climbed onto the page of a Dr. Seuss book.  It was such a fun night!

 I think we rode the caro-seuss-el three times in a row!  Sheridan loved it, and because she was on a Wish Trip she didn't even have to get off and get in line again...they let her stay on as long as she wanted!!!

 The sky was absolutely beautiful that night as the sun set and the lights came on over the truffula trees :)

And this brings day 2 to an end.  You wouldn't think it could get any better than this but it does :) 



Our first day of magic!

It is hard to believe but we returned home from Sheridan's Wish Trip to Disney World one year ago tonight!  I started the post below a year ago and never finished it.  A LOT has gone on in the past year but we are grateful everyday for everything good in our lives.  I thought it would be the perfect night to get started on sharing these pics...better late than never ;)


We had to start our trip off in the Magic Kingdom, so we spent all day there Saturday and it was magical! From the moment you enter the park and walk up main street towards the castle you know you are in a truely magical place. The looks we saw on Sheridan and Sam's faces as they met characters and went on rides were priceless!!! I cannot put into words how "awesome", as Sheridan would say, our trip was...but you can see it our pictures :)

 Riding the Liberty Belle Riverboat around Tom Sawyer Island in Frontier Land, also just as Patrick and I remembered it :)  It was a good chance to sit and take a break for a few minutes. 

 I had to post this pic because it is one of the kids favorites!  They still talk about the really big chicken wing daddy ate in Disney World!!!  It was delicious by the way :)

 The afternoon parades that pop up are so fun!!!

 Waiting for the electrical parade to start that night...we got front row seats in Frontier Land after enjoying burgers for dinner, our favorite!

 My pics do not do the Electrical Parade justice, but here are a few anyways.  Pretty much everything in the parade is covered in lights!

 

After the parade we headed towards the front of the park to watch the fireworks (yes we were going to get every ounce of Magic Kingdom we could that day!)  Trying to move was a big mistake, but we did see some of the fireworks before the kids fell asleep and we headed back to our place for the night.  I don't have that many pics from our first day because we were all so caught up in every moment.  It was fantastic!!!
